Episode 18: Lemon by Spindrift

The designer of this can knew their color theory. The blue makes the yellow pop, the yellow makes the blue pop. This can is popping off all over the place. Pop POP!

The Can

The can features a charming watercolor illustration of a lemon wheel. The colors are simple and bold. “Yup, that’s it.” seems pretty direct but friendly. It’s a non-judgmental way to say, “there’s no nonsense in this can, but we aren’t passive-aggressively making disparaging statements about other beverages with other complicated ingredients.”

Sun’s out, daffodil’s up… now we can really start dressin’.

Notes

This can had a polite, small crack. Nothing too flashy for this classic can. Not very bubble-forward, the tart lemon flavor takes center stage. It’s sour and natural, as if you yourself just squeezed a lemon wedge into your bubble water. Sometimes interesting flavor pairs hit the spot, but other times it’s good to reach for a staple like lemon. This is the perfect porch pounder for an early spring day. Also likely pairs well with a sunny afternoon next to a pool and a good book.

Overall reaction

You can just taste the sun’s rays on the REAL lemons that were squeezed into this can. It’s pretty good!
