Episode 20: Cherry Blossom by La Croix

Cherry Blossom by La Croix
The Can
This can is designed to be slightly different than the typical La Croix can. Featured are illustrations of eight gorgeous cherry blossoms on a field of solid pale pink. The swooshy, 90s-style brush strokes are not completely gone; there are still a few swoops around the brushy logotype. The flavor is also set in a brushy typeface. This can is pretty! It feels like a spring afternoon in a park.
Notes
A short, polite crack reveals a delicate and refreshing aroma. The scent is light and subtly sweet, with hints of cherry. Despite the images of blossoms on the can, it offers no floral or earthy bouquet. The first sip is reminiscent of a blooming orchard in springtime. Upon the palate, it offers a harmonious balance between sweet and tart notes, akin to the first taste of a freshly opened Cherry Ludens. The effervescence dances gracefully, accentuating the candy freshness and creating a lively sensation on the tongue. Cherry sweetness dances on the palate creating a symphony of sweet and tangy sensations. La Croix’s bubbles are not for the faint of heart, but aren’t intimidatingly aggressive. In every sip, bubbles burst like tiny fireworks, releasing a detonation of cherry delight that tickle the taste buds with a mischievous charm. The finish is like a magician's disappearing act, leaving behind a trail of cherry whispers.
Overall reaction
This is a springtime must. It’s pretty good.
