The Patio at Seltzer HQ is the best place to enjoy a bubbly beverage regardless of what the thermometer says.

The Can
We’ve got a classic La Croix can here. Swoopy and Swooshy brushstrokes in a fresh color palette. What’s not to love? This lime green was absolutely unavoidable on Pinterest circa… what? 2011? Is it technically “cheugy” or do we not say that word anymore? Is it cheugy to say cheugy? I am over forty and I am unbothered by this.
The can has not achieved sentience, thankfully.
Notes
Imagine drinking a bubbly liquid that dances on your tongue with a light, citrusy zest. It has a touch of sweetness, but not too much—just enough to tease your taste buds. The flavor is faintly tropical, as if you’ve discovered a long-forgotten beach on an equatorial island that has not been overrun with tourists just yet. The overall sensation is bright and invigorating, but you're not entirely sure what it's supposed to remind you of… is it a lost love…or a vague regret of choosing one path over another?
It matters very little, because in this moment you're drinking the essence of a dream. It’s a dream you’ve had a million times where you're walking through a cloud made of sunlight, but you can not seem to recall the details with any certainty. It’s fizzy, like tiny whispers popping on your palate. As for the flavor…maybe it’s a fruit? Or maybe it’s just the idea of a fruit—a ghost of a mango. You can almost feel the softness of the mango’s ripe flesh, almost as if it is dripping down your chin. The flavor dissipates as if someone waved it away before it could settle into something familiar or tangible.
The bubbles make you feel like you’re floating, slightly disconnected from reality, caught between knowing and not knowing what just happened.
It’s like if a mango had a secret that it couldn’t quite tell you. But it’s okay. You didn’t need to know anyway. The mango was never yours to possess, only to briefly experience.
Overall reaction
It’s mango mango mango, all the way down. It’s pretty good!
