The Can
This can is gorgeous. We are seeing more of that bold lime green, for obvious reasons. The lettering of the Topo Chico logo is lovely, classic, and will never go out of style. I find the discernment to not be overly fussy with the decorative elements to be cleverly executed. I live for good classic typography.
2% juice. Nice!
Notes
Inside this gorgeous skinny can is a tactile flavor experience. On the nose, it has a bright and zesty citrus aroma, sharply cut with the herbal freshness of mint. We aren’t talking toothpaste here; this should not trigger any thoughts of good dental hygiene. It has the earthy aromatic lift of freshly picked mint leaves reminiscent of a cool summer breeze, inviting excitement for the first refreshing sip.
The moment the sparkles touch your tongue, you experience the lively tang of fresh lime. This is what two percent juice tastes like. It’s certainly juicy enough without being overbearing or sour. The vibrant citrus flavor gives way to a nuanced, cool crispness as the mint extract reveals itself, like a fresh morning dew. It’s sharp and uplifting. It’s as though you are being refreshed on a cellular level; this simple and special flavor is nature itself. A mountain stream, a valley at daybreak, a beachfront bar on a tropical island, the cool caress of an ocean breeze…you are transported on a bubble to paradise.
The flavor is light and invigorating. The elegance and simplicity of the flavors dance with the small bubbles across your palate. This playful beverage would pair perfectly with a summery ceviche or an artfully curated salad of crisp greens. It’s begging to be poured into a gorgeous glass with a wedge or twist of something citrus, to be enjoyed as a little treat because you actually were not transported anywhere, you’re stuck on earth living your life and your only consolation is this. You deserve it.
Overall reaction
It’s Lime, It’s Mint and together they are pretty good!
