The Can
This can is ready for Christmas. It’s very festive. The illustrations are gorgeous in their simplicity. The illustration strategy closely aligns with the overall visual brand of Poppi. The designers masterfully toed the line between a cohesive brand presentation and a unique layout for a limited run flavor. It’s apparent to me that Cranberry Fizz may not be readily available year round (unless Poppi ascribes to the Christmas in July tradition or they present this flavor in a different can for non-Christmas applications.) A simple color palette paired with elegant illustrations and a standard overall arrangement of content on the can ties this to the rest of the Poppi family.

This is technically a soda. While the title of this podcast may lead you to believe that only true seltzers were in scope for the show, but mineral water, sparkling beverages and sodas are all in purview for this organization. If it is drinkable and it has bubbles, it counts.
After a friendly crack, the palate is greeted by an aroma of cran-apple. Friendly bubbles alight the tongue like backup dancers to a very merry cranberry flavor. A mild taste is understandably left by the stevia — there are always tradeoffs to be made in terms of balancing sweetness, taste and calorie density — but that doesn’t take away from the juicy tartness of the cranberry.
This bubbly beauty is festive. I encourage you to put aside any Christmas Expectations and consider imbibing this charming little treat ANY time. You don’t need to celebrate Christmas to enjoy this wintry-themed fizzy drink.
