Episode 05: Tart Cherry Limeade by Polar

Tart Cherry Limeade by Polar
The Can
This is a lovely, bold can. It is different than the design of the typical Polar seltzer can. It’s much more playful. It features a distorted version of the Polar type treatment and minimalist illustrations of the fruits that inspired the flavor. It also calls out, hey, this is a GUILT FREE beverage here, man. The bright colors and shapes make for a great pair of cans.
Notes
Excellent crack, powerful but not overwhelming. The cherry and the lime harmonize nicely. Most of the way through the can, it started giving Cherry Ludens, which was fine. The bubbles are not too aggressive either, so this is a very drinkable seltzy. It was a little gray and rainy when I drank this one, so to brighten things up, I drank it out of a stemless wine glass. I know that the stem on wine glasses is intended to prevent you from warming your bevy up to a sub-optimal temperature while you hold it, but we aren’t drinking anything so critical that a few degrees of temperature really matters. I just really like the look of stemless wine glasses. So minimal, so modern. I got mine from the Dollar Store and they match the gorgeous Depression-ware repro dishes that were a gift from R’s grandparents.
Overall reaction
This one is pretty good!
