This sparkling water does indeed SPARKLE. Refreshing, bright, and true-to-fruit berry flavor, this is Waterloo’s celebration of summer.

The Can

This can feels like small-town America. The fireworks! The stars! The berries! I could barely contain the impulse to find a small American flag and wave it. The three underdog berries — blue, rasp and black — are given a moment to shine on this can and in this flavor. While strawberry is generally the star of summer, it’s nice that these three berries have their time to shine here.

A can of Summer Berry flavored sparkling water by Waterloo with a headless bust of Mozart. Here is what he looked like with his head attached, for reference.

Notes

We’ve tasted what American spring water tastes like and I can’t say that this tastes more or less American than that. I can say, however, that it’s clearly not Canadian. Blueberry seems to take center stage in this flavor, but both raspberry and blackberry are ripe and delightful. The bright notes of raspberry sparkle and the blackberries are as alluring as they are fresh and delicious. There are no actual berries in this flavor, but you’d never know that by taste alone.

This seltzer would be a very lovely dessert beverage any time of year. If you are craving berries out of season, pop the top on one of these gorgeous cans and picture yourself in your favorite summer scenario.

Overall reaction

This flavor has a playfulness and nostalgia for seemingly-endless summers of childhood. It’s pretty good.
